What is the data API for?
It is for getting your AI visibility data into the places you already report from. Some teams build their client dashboards in Looker Studio. Others keep a master spreadsheet, or pull figures into their own tools.
The term AI visibility API refers to a way for your own software to read what the platform has measured, without anyone exporting files by hand.
What can it read?
Each address returns one kind of data for the workspace the key belongs to.

Prompts, answers, daily visibility, share of voice and citations also come as CSV. You add .csv to the address to get it.
How do I connect Google Sheets and Looker Studio?
It takes a few minutes.
- Make a key. Go to Settings, then API, and make a key named after the sheet.
- Copy a formula. The API screen shows ready-made IMPORTDATA formulas with your key in them.
- Paste it into a sheet. Put it in cell A1 of an empty tab. The data fills in, and Google refreshes it about once an hour while the sheet is open.
- Add the sheet to Looker Studio. Add a data source, choose Google Sheets and pick that sheet and tab.
- Build the chart. For trends, use date as the dimension and mention rate as the metric, split by engine.
Is it safe?
Keys are read only. They cannot run prompts, change settings or spend credits. Only a scrambled copy of each key is stored, so the full key is shown once, when you make it. Owners and admins can see when each key was last used and revoke it at any time.
A key in a sheet formula can be seen by anyone who can edit or view the formulas. So it may help to use one key per sheet and revoke any key you no longer need.
Where it fits
The API sits alongside the other ways data leaves the platform. Client reports give white label PDFs and share links for people. CSV exports give one-off files. The API gives live data for tools and dashboards, drawn from the same figures as share of voice and citation tracking.
