In brief
The usual reason to look past the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is its per-domain price. SE Ranking is the nearest swap if you want an SEO platform with AI added, and Otterly is cheaper to start. Peec AI and Profound cover more engines. Axiom GEO, which we make, prices by plan rather than by domain.
Key points
- Axiom GEO is ours. What we say about the other tools comes from their own pages, read on 25 October 2026.
- Semrush lists the toolkit at £80.22 a month per domain on yearly billing, with 25 prompts tracked daily across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity.
- Per-domain pricing is the main reason agencies look elsewhere, since the cost rises with every client.
- SE Ranking's AI Search add-on starts at £55.20 a month for 200 prompts, on top of a rank tracking plan.
- Axiom GEO prices by plan, not by domain, and checks answers for accuracy, but starts at £500 a month plus VAT.
We make Axiom GEO, which is one of the options below, so take our view of it with that in mind. The other tools are described from their own pricing pages and docs, read on 25 October 2026. There is a longer head-to-head in Axiom GEO vs Semrush.
Why the toolkit is popular
The toolkit's main advantage is that it sits inside Semrush, where many UK SEO teams already spend their day. AI answers and classic SEO end up in one account and on one bill. It costs £80.22 a month per domain on yearly billing, tracks 25 custom prompts daily, and reports mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity. You can also get a quick read on any brand without building a prompt set, which helps when pitching.
For an in-house team with one website that already pays for Semrush, it is probably all you need.
Where it falls short
Cost is the big one. The price is per domain, so it grows with every client or brand you add. 25 tracked prompts is also a small set for a business with several services or towns to cover. When we last reviewed Semrush's pages we found no check on whether answers are correct. Claude and Copilot are not in the engine list on the pricing page either.

SE Ranking
SE Ranking works the same way as Semrush, an SEO platform with AI tracking bolted on. Its AI Search add-on costs from £55.20 a month on yearly billing and gives 200 prompts. Prompts run on Google's AI answers and ChatGPT only. The UK GEO tools guide has the plan prices. See SE Ranking pricing.
Otterly
Cheaper than the toolkit for a single site, from $29 a month for 15 prompts, and it covers Copilot, which Semrush does not list. See Otterly pricing.
Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs includes a few custom AI prompts from its Lite plan, and its prompt index starts at €179 a month. If you are weighing up the two big SEO suites, that is the AI piece to compare. See Ahrefs Brand Radar.
Peec AI and Profound
Both list more engines than Semrush. Peec AI reads answers through each engine's web interface and lets you choose models per plan. Profound lists up to nine engines on Enterprise and prices on request. See Peec AI pricing and our Profound alternatives page.
Axiom GEO
Growth costs £500 a month plus VAT and covers 3 sites and 100 prompts a week. The Agency plan, at £1,499, covers up to 10 client workspaces and 350 prompts a week. Adding a site inside your plan does not add to the bill. Answer accuracy is included on every plan, and rankings and AI Overview checks are in the same account.
On a single website we cost more than the Semrush toolkit. The sums change with several sites or clients, or when the problem is AI engines getting your facts wrong. See Axiom GEO pricing.
So which one?
Stay with the toolkit if you have one website and already use Semrush. For rankings plus AI answers on a tight budget, SE Ranking is the closest swap, and Otterly is the cheapest way in. If you need engines Semrush does not list, try Peec AI or Profound. Axiom GEO makes most sense for agencies with several clients, or brands worried about wrong facts.
